The first in his family to pursue a career in art, Roy McArthur works in writing, directing, practical effects, costuming, and prop making. He is always happy to help out on a production, and can work comfortably as an art PA or in other similar positions. He currently attends school at Humber Polytechnic in Toronto. Roy started Rotten Produce Industries in the hopes that it may someday gain traction and become a place to tell the stories that are often overlooked by large studios. All are welcome here.
Rotten Produce
Rotten Produce Industries is a one man passion project run by Roy McArthur in addition to his other projects, which include freelance art, sewing, and writing. Roy aims to continue working on Rotten Produce, hoping that someday the project can grow into a well established production company that offers a place for marginalized creatives to platform their work. All folks are welcome here, and Roy intends to make sure of it, as he is a part of some marginalized groups himself.
The aesthetics of Rotten Produce are inspired by the extreme metal scene, old alchemy, underground zines, the beautifully grotesque, 80's leather culture, horror, nature, and the things that go bump in the woods at night, among other things.
Rotten produce is a love letter to the diversity of the human experience, wrapped up in themes of occultism, horror, and devilish hedonism. Amplify the voices of those who haven't been given the chance to speak.
